Entry level swords for iaido

Hasuji entry level iaito and mogito are selected for their affordability and weight / balance characteristics. All are made in Japan by specialist sword and iaito craftsmen.

A Japanese red oak bokutoh (wooden sword) with matching plastic resin saya.

Japanese red oak is beautiful and strong. The bokutoh is balanced for and suits iaido training, a little thinner and lighter than most kendo kata bokutoh.

All the iaito (iaido practice swords) and mogito (practice swords) that are offered on this site are suitable for the practice of iaido. They are made from cast aluminium-zinc alloys, have a blunt edge, cannot be sharpened and are not suitable for any type of contact or cutting practice.
